A noisy neighbour has been slapped with a two-year ASBO banning him from blasting his music after causing misery for people living nearby.

Mark Anthony Brown, of Woodbury Court, Woodbury Park Road, West Ealing, was also found guilty of two breaches of a noise abatement notice at Acton Magistrates' Court on January 8.

He was fined £100 and ordered to forfeit his equipment.

Ealing CouncilÕs noise team issued noise abatement notices to Brown in October 2007 and May 2008 following a string of complaints about the racket he was making.

Brown, whose age could not be confirmed, continued to ignore warnings about blasting his music and council officers confiscated his stereos, television and other sound systems on two occasions before he landed himself in court.

Councillor Vlod Barchuk, cabinet member for safer communities, said: "We will not tolerate such inconsiderate behaviour from anyone.

"This man was given plenty of warnings and now he has to face the consequences of his actions.

"Our officers work hard to support residents so they do not have to deal with noisy neighbours on their own."

The anti-social behaviour order states that Mark Brown is prohibited from causing or permitting any noise within his flat that is audible outside the property

If Brown breaches his ASBO he could be fined or face prison.
