OK, not everyone gets to hang out with the likes of the singer Labrinth and go to Tokyo, like London Flare PR marketing apprentice Lianna Yianna, left , but there are plenty of opportunities for exciting career developments on the apprenticeship trail.

Lianna, 19, came to JGA Group in Field End Road, Eastcote, for her apprenticeship in marketing and is now learning the ropes in celebrity PR, and picking up invaluable skills.

Elsewhere, former Ruislip High School girl Caitlin Whitlock, 16, has been taken on as an apprentice at Ruislip Manor Pharmacy in Victoria Road, after JGA matched her skills to the job.

JGA will hold an apprenticeship open day for 16-18 year olds and their parents or teachers at their offices on June 27, starting at 2pm.

There will be plenty of tips and help to stop you becoming one of the more than 3,500 unemployed young people in the borough, from training to grants to placements.

To book a place, call Laurence George at JGA on 020 8426 2666 or go to www.jga-open-day.eventbrite.co.uk
