POLICE are appealing for help find a missing woman who could be suffering from temporary amnesia.

Hannah MacDonald has not been seen since being dropped off near her Fulham home on March 6.

The 31-year-old was expected to return to a mental health unit at Charing Cross Hospital and has been diagnosed with 'fugue' – a condition that can cause amnesia and bouts of severe depression.

She has previously travelled by train to Scotland and she may visit Cheltenham to be close to friends. Other likely destinations are said to include Cassel Hospital, in Richmond, and Hampton Court Palace.

A police statement said: “We understand dissociative fugue usually involves unplanned travel or wandering and is sometimes accompanied by the establishment of a new identity.

“She occasionally uses her sister's name – Miriam.”

Hannah is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build.

Anyone who sees her, or knows her whereabouts, should call DC Corrado Di Mascio of Hammersmith Police on 020 8246 2505 or call Missing People on 0500 700 700.
