STAFF at a betting shop in Rickmansworth were held at knife-point during a robbery last Monday (22).

Two male offenders entered Coral Bookmakers, on the corner of High Street and Church Street, shortly after 8pm before producing a large knife, threatening staff and demanding money.

The men then left, taking a bicycle from within the shop, with one on the bike and one on foot.

Nobody was injured however the men did manage to take hundreds of pounds.

One is described as a black, aged 20, wearing a black hooded jacket, dark trousers, white trainers, a black beanie-style hat with a white motif on the front and a dark scarf up to his eyes.

The second man is described as white, in his late teens, wearing a dark blue jacket with the hood up, dark jeans, a green beanie-style hat and a scarf covering his face.

Investigator David Patton from Rickmansworth said: "It was a frightening ordeal for those working in the bookmakers at the time and fortunately no one was hurt."

"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and might have seen the offenders either prior to the incident or afterwards."

"I would encourage anyone with information to come forward to help trace those responsible. What may seem insignificant to you could be vital to police."
