ANTI Heathrow expansion activists have been fined for scaling the House of Commons and unveiling a banner in protest against proposals to build a third runway.

Members of protest group, Plane Stupid, Graham Thompson, Leo Murray, Alexander George, Tamsin Omond and Olivia Chessell were found guilty of trespass at Westminster Magistrates' Court today (Thursday).

In February the group bypassed security and climbed the roof before releasing the banner and throwing paper aeroplanes at on lookers.

Ms Omond was ordered to pay £150 court costs and given a conditional charge.

The remaining activists were fined £150 each.
