Anthea Turner to open Harvest Fair at St Nicholas Church in Chiswick

TV presenter will be joined by Peppa Pig for the event next weekend, where pig racing and sock golf will be among the attractions

Former Blue Peter presenter and Dancing on Ice contestant Anthea Turner will open a Chiswick church's Harvest Fair next Saturday (October 11).

Peppa Pig will also make an appearance on the day at St Nicholas Church, in Church Street, where the entertainment will include face-painting, pig racing and sock golf, plus various stalls and a raffle.

To publicise the event, the proceeds from which will go to Chiswick School Breakfast Club, the church challenged pupils at the school to design a poster.

Somaya Chentouf's floral design was selected as the winning entry by artist and former Chiswick School student Jason Bowyer, earning her £100 of art vouchers. Runners-up Minnie Smith and Angelina Filuba received vouchers worth £50 and £25 respectively.

All the winning entries will be on display at the fair, running from midday to 3pm.
