A MAN from Croxley Green has become the latest to be sentenced following a two-week police operation to tackle illegal drugs.
Andrew Burrows, 39, of Baldwins Lane, admitted cocaine possession at his home address on March 10 this year.
He was handed a six month conditional discharge at West Herts Magistrates Court yesterday (Tuesday).
Burrows' arrest was part of Operation Crystal, an initiative carried out by Hertfordshire Police, where officers from the Serious & Organised Crime Group raided 20 addresses across the county.
So far, four people have been charged and a further five have been arrested and bailed in connection with drugs offences.
Quantities of class A and B drugs and almost £20,000 in cash were also recovered, and a hydroponics cannabis factory was discovered at one address.
Under Operation Crystal, officers focus on targeting dealers and the supply of drugs as the most effective way to tackle the circulation of illegal substances, and the subsequent crime that serious drug misuse can lead to.
