Reigning Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is set to serve up a treat for tennis fans when he appears at a tournament in Fulham.

The British number one has confirmed he will be joining the line-up for the the IMG-owned BNP Paribas Tennis Classic this summer.

Taking place at the Hurlingham Club, in Ranelagh Gardens, SW6 from June 17-20, the event puts spectators closer to the action than any other of its kind and is always seen as the big warm-up for SW19.

Last year Andy ended more than 70 years of hurt when he became the first British man since Fred Perry in 1936 to win the men’s title by beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

Speaking about the BNP Paribas event Andy said: “Playing at the Hurlingham Club last June was the perfect way for me to warm up for Wimbledon. It’s a great setting and I’m looking forward to playing again this year.”

He will be joined by a world-class line-up of tennis legends including Tim Henman, Goran Ivanisevic, Mark Philippoussis, Pat Cash and crowd pleaser Mansour Bahrami, who will all play throughout the tournament, with more top current players to be announced in the coming months.

Owned and managed by IMG, the global sports, fashion and media company, the BNP Paribas Tennis Classic takes place at the height of the summer tennis season, the week before Wimbledon.

Set in the 42 acre grounds of one of the most renowned members’ clubs in the country the tournament gives spectators the opportunity to combine unforgettable tennis with first-rate hospitality experiences.

Matches take place on Centre Court, which seats an intimate crowd of 600, tennis players mingle with guests off court and there’s also the opportunity to play tennis with the professionals in the PRO-AMs.
