Reader Katherine Stead's picture of an orchid flower that resembles a swooping bird

Following in the wing beats of the ghost bird of Uxbridge comes the orchid bird of Hillingdon.

Reader Kathleen Stead spotted the pigeonesque apparition in the flower of an orchid at her home in Pield Heath Road, and whipped out her Fuji to share this snap with getwestlondon readers.
