Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray after witnesses reported a man being chased.

Armed police attended after reports a car had collided with a wall at around 1.45pm on Monday (June 19), on Ealing Road, Alperton.

Witnesses also reported that several people, some who were armed with knives, got out of the car and chased a man.

A police spokesman said: "Seven people were located at a nearby address and arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

"The male who was chased, was located, and he was not injured.

"Enquiries into the circumstances continue by officers from Brent.

"This is not a terrorist incident."
