The certificate recognises the moral values encouraged at the school and how the pupils are empowered to be effective learners.

Peter Dunmall, headteacher, said: "Core values underpin all of our work and they way that we treat one another. We aim for Addison children to live their lives following our common moral code.

"Whatever background, culture or faith, our community established values which are shared by all. Addison values include respect, co-operation, honesty, humility and happiness."

Clare Pugh, deputy head, said: "The impact that our values have had on children is incredible. Attitudes to school learning and one another has improved greatly.

"Behaviour and the way children and adults treat one another in school has been transformed. Children are growing up using a strong moral vocabulary, which they will be able to take with them at home, in future education and work."
