An accountant will stand trial for a second time over his alleged involvement in a £4.5m fraud case.

After a 10-week trial which ended in January, jurors were unable to agree on a verdict for Roy Faichney, 53, of Barnhill, Pinner, who denied the charges.

The former director of accountancy firm Vantis will once again defend himself against charges of dishonestly submitting claims for tax relief starting from September 3 at Blackfriars Crown Court.

Faichney’s former colleague David Perrin, 46, of Leagrave, Luton, was jailed for 18 months after being convicted of his part in the Gift Aid scam.
