High flying A-level pupils at Vyners School have been opting for apprenticeships this year, according to headteacher James Heale.

Four pupils who did well are going to Rolls Royce, the BBC, Talk Sport radio and engineering company KBR.

Top performer at the school in Warren Road, Ickenham , was Pammy Gill, who got A* in all three of her chosen subjects – English literature, history and politics – and is off to Nottingham University to read law.
