At Bishopshalt, the overall pass rate was 99 per cent, and there was an improvement in the proportion of top grades, with 22 per cent of all grades awarded A or A*.

On average, students achieved 767 QCA points each. Twelve students achieved at least 3 A or A* grades, including Omar Khan who will be studying Maths at Oxford, Adam Wood studying History at Oxford, Gurkirat Sekhon studying medicine at King's College and Elliot Smith studying Veterinary Science at Nottingham. 

Director of sixth form, Phil Harris, congratulated all of the students and teachers at the school on their hard work.

"These results are a credit to the hard work and application of the students and their teachers alike.

"We are very pleased that our students have achieved so well at Bishopshalt, with a greater proportion gaining the higher grades.

"Helping so many students go on to university is very satisfying and that all the hard work is rewarded".
