Walkers are limbering up to send a message to lost loved ones and help raise awareness of a children's bereavement charity.

Halo Children's Foundation holds monthly group sessions at Uxbridge College Children’s Centre in College Way, Hayes, to provide advice, information and support to parents and give children a place to share experiences and to help them smile and laugh again.

The charity, which was launched last year by Hayes mother Alia Jones , has organised a 5k walk at Barra Hall Park in Hayes to raise awareness of its cause and to raise funds to allow it to grow.

“At the start of the walk we will be letting off balloons with messages that people want to send to loved ones.

“It is a bereavement charity and we wanted to show the reason why we are doing the walk,” Mrs Jones said.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon, Allan and Lynn Kauffman, will be cutting a ribbon across the start line to send around 60 walkers on their way at 11am on Saturday, May 24.

If you would like support for yourself and your family with bereavement or to join in the walk to raise funds and awareness and request a sponsor pack, get in touch by emailing info@halochildrensfoundation.org.uk or call Alia on 07903709622.
