A series of dawn raids at homes across Hounslow has resulted six people from the borough being charged with drugs offences.

Surrey Police, in conjunction with the Met, stormed dozens of addresses in Surrey and Hounslow last Wednesday and Thursday as part of Operation Wentwood. They arrested 34 people over the two days, 22 of whom have been charged with offences related to hard drugs.

The following people were charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and appeared at Staines Magistrates' Court last Thursday (2):

Jason Kimber, 38, of Gabriel Close, Hanworth, Patrick Rowe, 31, of Ridgeway Road, Isleworth, Syidul Ahsan, 29, of Claypole Drive, Hounslow, Craig Wright, 26, of The Vale, Feltham.

Neil Howard, of Hatchett Road, Bedfont, was charged with supply and appeared at Staines Magistrates' on the same day.

Kevin Graham, 30, of Nursery Road, Feltham, was charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has been bailed to appear at Staines Magistrates' on April 21.

More than 500 officers were involved in the huge drugs bust, during which large quantities of heroin and crack cocaine were seized, along with cash.

Chief Superintendent Steve Rodhouse, divisional commander for North Surrey Police, said: "It is well recognised that class A drugs destroy lives; not just the lives of the users themselves but those of local people who have become victims of crime through the users' need to obtain funds to pay for their addiction.

"We will take every opportunity to prosecute those involved and bring them before the courts. I would also like to make it clear that under the proceeds of Crime Act we will be actively pursuing applications to recover the financial gain made by these individuals."
