THE 16-year-old boy accused of murdering Richard Mannington Bowes in the riots last summer is due to appear at the Old Bailey today (12).

The Hounslow youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has already denied killing the 68-year-old Haven Green pensioner (pictured) who was knocked unconscious in Spring Bridge Road, Ealing, during the disorder on August 8 last year. He died from serious head injuries three days later.

The teenager previously admitted four counts of burglary at William Hill, Tesco Express, Blockbuster and Fatboys Thai restaurant in Ealing.

He has been remanded in custody with his 33-year-old mother who is accused of perverting the course of justice.
