Tickets are now on sale for the Ealing Comedy Festival and the 30th Ealing Blues Festival after organisers announced the lines up for 2016.

Over July 16 and 17 the Blues Festival, organised by Ealing Council , will feature US-based Earl Thomas, who organisers said has been "described as one of the most important Blues artists of the decade".

And there will also be performances from multiple British Blues Awards nominee Zoe Schwarz and Afro-Blues unit Ramon Goose and Desert Rock.

Bob Salmons, who has run and programmed the Ealing Club since it began in 1987, said: "I'm really excited for the 30th Ealing Blues Festival, which has grown into a unique world class event from its humble beginnings in 1987.

"The line-up continues to encapsulate Ealing's rich blues history and its local talent whilst providing a showcase for world class Blues performers."

Meanwhile the Ealing Comedy Festival, which runs from July 14 to July 15 and then continues the following week from July 20 to July 22, will feature Mock The Week's Andy Parsons.

Held at Walpole Park, the festival will also feature comedians Stephen K. Amos, Barry Cryer, Paul Sinha and TV comic Seann Walsh as well as Shappi Korsandi.

The council’s cabinet member for transport, environment and leisure, Councillor Bassam Mahfouz said: "If laughter is the best medicine, then the Ealing Comedy Festival is just what the doctor ordered.

"Hilarious comedians will once again grace the Ealing comedy stage under the big top tent, bridging the gap between sell out stadium tours and grass roots comedy.

"I'm really proud that the council is putting on another great year of comedy in Walpole Park and look forward to attending as many of the nights as I can."
