A young girl from Pinner whose father donated her a kidney when she was just two enjoyed a Christmas party for sick children.

Erin Sleck met Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at the 'Share The Magic' bash hosted for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children patients at the flagship Disney Store in Oxford Street in central London.

The 4-year-old and her family were one of eight families treated to a private shopping spree in store, face painting, the chance to write their own letter to Father Christmas and soft toys.

Her mother Rhiannon Davey said: “We had a fantastic time at the Disney Store party and it really helped us to get in the festive spirit.

"It was brilliant to meet Mickey and Minnie and lovely to spend time with other families who had been through similar experiences.”

Erin has been a patient at the hospital since she was three months old and receives treatment for a kidney disorder.

The Longfield Primary School, North Harrow, pupil underwent a successful kidney transplant in the autumn of 2012 when her father Sam donated one of his organs.
