AN AUTHOR visited Ealing Hospital to help sick youngsters forget their illness and get lost in another world for a morning.
Bestselling children’s author Tamsyn Murray read from her latest book Snug as a Bug as well as her Stunt Bunny series on Thursday (April 18)
She visited the hospital in Uxbridge Road, Southall, as part of Starlight Storytellers, a national project launched in 2011 by Starlight Children’s Foundation, which provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices and grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes,
After the event, which was also organised by publishers Simon and Schuster, Tamsyn said: “The children were a delight, joining in enthusiastically and not in the least bit put off by my bunny ears.
"Starlight Storytellers is such a brilliant idea. Stories have the power to transport us to another place for a little while and children in hospital need that more than anyone."
