A NEW £5.7million medical centre at Beavers Estate in Hounslow has opened its doors to patients.

The Meadows Centre for Health on Chinchilla Drive has replaced the Greenbrook Medical Practice and the building also incorporates a pharmacy and a range of community based health services.

The state-of-the-art, 13,000 sqft centre has been developed by MedicX, a leading developer of UK healthcare property, in partnership with NHS Hounslow and Places for People.

MedicX Property Director Tony Coke said: "Modern healthcare centres, that can be delivered within budget and provide value for money, are essential for local communities.

"We are confident this new centre will transform the patient experience and that users will be delighted with what has been achieved."

The centre, which saw its first patients on December 19, has been welcomed by West London Health Estates director Sue Hardy.

She said: "There has been a real need for a new medical centre, and after consultation with the local community, we are pleased to now have the building open for business, providing a wide range of healthcare services.

"The building looks fantastic and both the PCT and practice are delighted with the new facility. I would like to thank the whole team for a great result for the community and the GP practice."
