Over the weekend zombies raised from their graves and shook off the cobwebs to take part in the 10th annual 'Thrill The World' global performance in London.

On Saturday, October 31 at exactly 11pm, around 35 performers gathered in Covent Garden to perform Michael Jackson's iconic 'Thriller' routine, at the same time as thousands across the world, including in Austria, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur.

"The event was fun and exciting" Thrill The World London's Communications Zombie, Maria Law, told getwestlondon.

She said "The crowd were amazing, great atmosphere and helped count us". Around one thousand people gathered to help dancers count down to the beginning of the performance, to ensure the same start time as other groups from across the world.

Alongside raising money for charity, the event also aims to encourage anyone and everyone to get involved in dancing. It's all about "bringing people together" through dance, says one of the event organisers, Boogie.

She says "The whole event is about the world coming together and dancing at the same time."
