The UK headquarters of a well-known Hayes website-hosting and storage firm is expected to fetch £120million when it is put up for sale.

Rackspace City, a 10-acre campus in Millington Road, is almost entirely occupied by the UK office of Rackspace, which moved in in 2010.

The site used to be called Hyde Park Hayes but the firm lent its name to the complex after taking over most of the space.

Funds advised by Melford Capital bought the freehold in 2011 and have employed Knight Frank to market the campus to another investor.

Freddie Owen of Knight Frank said: “This is a strategically important location in West London and we expect a lot of interest.

"It offers a secure income stream from a tenant growing its occupation consistently at 20 per cent per year, and there is still room for significant further development at the site.

"Because of the transformative effect of Crossrail in 2018 investors are likely to be attracted to its growth potential”.

Chairman and founder of Rackspace Hosting, Graham Weston, said:

“When deciding on where to put down roots in the UK, we needed to find a location that provided excellent accessibility, a high quality built environment, good value and a place that can accommodate our growth.

"We found that at Hayes.”
