Pitshanger Lane has qualified as a finalist in the Great British High Street competition.

The Ealing high street was among 230 entries to the competition and joins Raynes Park and Roman Road as the London finalists.

Chairman of the Pitshanger Village Traders' Association, John Martin, was on BBC radio talking about the achievement.

He said he is “absolutely delighted” to get this far.

Supporters can vote online, once a day, for the next six weeks and the Pitshanger team, led by Mr Martin, are promoting the street using #Pitshanger and #GBHighSt on social media.

Judges will visit Pitshanger Lane in the next four weeks, with 50% of the decision resting on their judgement while the other half depends on the voting results.
