More than 200 jobs have been created in west London by an online supermarket which is on the hunt for candidates.

Ocado has opened a new 68,690 sq-ft delivery hub in Park Royal.

Based in Origin Business Park, the modern building has been designed to be Ocado’s most environmentally innovative property to date, featuring solar roof panels and rain water recycling.

Ocado is looking for 200 friendly drivers to deliver shopping into customers’ homes throughout the week and during all seasons.

Candidates must hold an EU or UK driving licence and share a passion for delivering award-winning customer service. Successful applicants will "enjoy great benefits and a rewarding role that offers much more than a straightforward driving job".

Julie Markey, director of HR at Ocado, said: “As we continue to expand our business in Greater London, we’re excited to announce the opening of our newest delivery hub in Park Royal. Based in a rapidly developing area, it will be one of our biggest hubs yet, allowing us to create over 200 new jobs.

“Our drivers are the face of our brand and critical to our success. Successful applicants will have a fantastic opportunity to shape a long and exciting future at Ocado.

"We offer all our employees the support and structure they need to progress and build a long-term career with us. In fact, many drivers who have joined our team in the past few years have now developed into managerial, marshalling or training roles.”
