Fuller's historic Chiswick Bitter brew has been recognised as a leading pint by punters.

Named after the part of London the brewery calls home, on Chiswick Lane South, its fresh and floral tastes were runners-up in the 2014-15 Castle Rock Brewery Beer of the Year awards.

Chiswick Bitter has been a popular choice for drinkers since it was first produced in the 1930s, and 80 years on customers continue to name it as one their favourite guest beers to drink throughout the year.

The competition which has been running for 16 years was attended by award winners and guests at the Canalhouse in Nottingham and hosted by chairman of Castle Rock Brewery, Geoff Newton.

Ian Bray, managing director of Fuller's Beer Company, said: "It is a real joy to see our products receiving success and recognition in different parts of the country.

"This is a testament to everyone's passion and hard work at Fulller's."

Mr Newton said this year had even more votes cast than previously before congratulating the winners on producing amazing beers and ciders.
