To satisfy guests' constantly developing digital demands, K West Hotel and Spa offers cutting-edge devices including smartphones, tablets and tech spaces.
We've all been there before, we check into a hotel and we forget our phone charger or it's a complete wash-out outside and all you have is the smallest TV screen to watch in your room.
Thankfully, K West Hotel and Spa is constantly updating its technological offerings to ensure that guests have everything they need - and more - when they stay at the four star venue.
Located across the road from Westfields shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, the hotel underwent a dramatic interior redesign in November 2014, inspired by its rich music heritage and history of musicians staying at the hotel.
Formerly the BBC Building Kensington House in the 70s and 80s, an endless list of Rock ‘N’ Roll royalty has stayed, played and misbehaved at K West – Bob Marley and the Wailers, Bowie, The Kinks and Roxy Music to name a few.
Since becoming a hotel, the venue has continued to strike a chord with musicians, who often stay whilst playing at nearby music venues O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and the Apollo.
The 219 guest rooms are designed to offer a soothing respite from the fast pace of London life, with luxurious over-sized beds and a calming colour scheme.
Modern flourishes including an LCD flat screen Smart TV, coffee machine, Bose sound system, smartphones and tablets make this trend-setting hotel that even more impressive.
My partner and I enjoyed exploring everything the contemporary hotel had to offer.
We stayed in one of the executive double rooms, complete with a massive 2x2m comfy bed, a chic sofa bed, luxury The White Company bathroom products, fluffy towels and bathrobes and of course the in-room tablets and smartphones offering complimentary calls to selected destinations and unlimited data browsing.
We enjoyed dinner in the Studio Kitchen - an informal yet electric dining space offering European cuisine from halloumi burgers to 8oz rib-eye steaks.
Following a starter of prawn cocktail (£11) my partner tucked into grilled baby chicken (£15.50) served with skin on fries, corn on the cob, coleslaw and barbecue sauce, while I went for pan-fried salmon (£16) with caper berries and swapped my potatoes for chips.
It wasn't fine dining, but both dishes were gutsy, tasty and did the trick of filling us up.
The cocktail selection was much more impressive featuring a huge range of classic and signature cocktails including Glam Rock Tequila, Grapefruit Margarita, Cherry Martini and Stuido Fizz - and they tasted fabulous.
Breakfast is served in the same restaurant and the cold continental spread and hot food to order menu was great, especially the Pancake Tower loaded with fresh berries, sticky maple syrup and indulgent cream.
K West’s holistic spa offers a range of exclusive treatments plus features a twinkling hydrotherapy pool, sanarium, sauna, dry flotation tank, aromatic herbal steam room and a fully equipped gym.
K Spa introduced the first Snow Paradise to London, which mimics the Finnish experience of alternating between freezing and steamy environments.
Alternatively, the unique Sun Meadow offers specialist light therapy to Seasonal Affective Disorder and the Nail Bar is the place to be pampered.
The trendy, vibrant hotel has everything for guests and is ideal for those of us who can't be without their digital devices.
