AS PROMISED before Easter, our big news: Helen is pregnant again with our second baby and, yes, it was planned.

"Are you mad?" I hear you cry.

Our theory is this: while the first 13 weeks of the new pregnancy have been challenging to say the least for Helen, with the extreme morning sickness, we are very excited, and having two babies close together will be good for them and we hope they will become friends.

Big Brother James is praying for a little brother.

As we say in shipping, ETA September 18 , AGW WP (all going well and weather permitting)

First thought is how will we cope (I mean, how will I cope, of course). Second thought: We can do this! Third thought: I'm really excited about having three kids, and do not care if it is a boy or a girl.

Helen wants a girl.

Weigh in day today. It's 9am and we have to dash to the weigh in centre. Please do not poop, Charlotte.

Then it's off to 'busy babies' class for 10:30 and then I have to work and with a bit of luck Charlotte will be exhausted in the afternoon so I can get stuck into it. We will see.

Charlotte mood: Does she know she is about to be a big sister?
Charlotte feed: Still inside, thank goodness
Stress levels: Two kids under 14 months to look forward to

Steve Knight is a 45 year old shipbroker from Ruislip, and married to Helen, who works for the same employer.

In July, 2012, their daughter Charlotte was born. Steve is now primary carer, on six months' paternity leave, while Helen has gone back to the office to support the family.
