Boasting the best pint of Guinness in Hounslow, The Wishing Well is back open for business.

Following a fire caused by an electrical fault three months ago, the pub on Staines Road has been completely refurbished.

Manager Malcolm McConnan, 51, who has worked there for six years, is thrilled with the changes.

"We have new decor, new bar design, new plasma TVs, everything," he said. "We have been completely refitted."

However, one thing the Irishman claims hasn't changed is the quality of the stout.

"We still have the best Guinness in Hounslow," he said.

"I drink it so I know how to look after it, it's all about the temperature."

In an interesting multi-cultural twist the pub, which has three members of Irish staff and features live Irish music on a Saturday night, also has a Thai restaurant.

Opening times: Noon-11pm all week.

Drinks: Range of beers including Green King and Adnams, also usual selection of wines and spirits and of course the famous Guinness.

Pub Grub: Thai restaurant.

Entertainment: Plasma screens, karaoke Friday and Saturday, live Irish music Saturday, pool table, fruit machines.
