It may have been frequented by celebs such as Ant and Dec but The Waggon and Horses is really just a laid-back, traditional pub.

The watering hole, which is across the road from Kew Bridge Station is 'the best bar in the world', according to manager Nik Arezina.

"It's really chilled out and we get lots of regulars and people coming from the station," he added.

With regular live music slots and karaoke every Monday, Nik says it may be laid back but it's not boring, with occasional jam sessions from local bands.

With a Brazilian chef, the bar mixes traditional pub lunches with more exotic side dishes that reflect his ethnic roots.

Nik also promises traditional Sunday lunches are to return to the menu after a brief disappearance.

Aside from visits by the famous Geordie funnymen and footballer Mark Bosnich, Nik says the pub's most popular regular is of the four-legged variety.

"There is a big clumsy labrador who lives upstairs and is very popular with the customers," he said. "In fact, he's more popular than me. I may have to get him pulling pints soon."
