There's bound to be a bit of a party atmosphere at the Horse & Groom pub now former DJ Ken Rothwell and his wife Dee have taken over.

He spent years spinning the discs everywhere from five-year-oldsÕ birthdays to the Ibiza club night Manu-mission before entering the pub trade.

Ken and Dee, the manger, have run several inns together, including the Old George in nearby Heston, before taking over at their latest venture last Tuesday.

He said they planned to cater for the older crowd, including mourners at the nearby cemetery.

They have already signed a popular crooner who sings everything from Sinatra to The Stylistics and they are considering making the pub over-21s only.

The pub features a bright, spacious interior with a large patio and a covered smoking area outside.

Opening Times: Monday-Saturday, 11am-11pm; Sunday, midday-10.30pm.

Drinks: A good selection of lagers, Strongbow, Guinness and John Smith's, plus the usual range of wine and spirits, with a cask ale planned for the future.

Food: Traditional pub grub, from bangers and mash to steak and ale pie, served from midday-3pm and 5pm-9pm every day except Sunday (midday-4pm).

Entertainment: Crooner Pete White will appear on November 1 and pool and darts competitions coming soon.

Children: Welcome until 7pm if eating.
