The Moon on the Square takes its role in the community very seriously and is preparing for a special charity event.

Along with other Wetherspoon pubs, it is hoping punters will put down their pints and lace up their football boots for a five-a-side tournament on October 5 in aid of cancer charity CLIC.

The pub also has a number of loyal regulars who have popped in for a drink and a chat for years, including Brentford FC's goalscoring legend Jim Towers.
