The General Roy, Poplar Way Feltham, 020 8893 2977

Nick Apps hasn't looked back since moving to Feltham to become landlord of The General Roy.

The 26-year-old, who moved from Milton Keynes to the pub in Poplar Way, Feltham, said he's definitely glad he came to the borough and loves living in the area.

"We get an older crowd coming in, which I really like.

"The pub's massive beer garden is our biggest crowd puller, and the delicious food is one of our better trades."

Named after a cartographer who mapped much of Hounslow Heath, The General Roy hosts a number of different nights in a week.

The Monday Club offers a selection of draught beers at £1.59 and a curry and a pint costs £5.85 from 5pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Visitors can also expect a different themed music night each weekend.

Explaining why he's in the business, Mr Apps said: "I like the pub trade and the atmosphere, although there's a lot of hard work.

"It's the best pub in Feltham in my opinion, but I'm biased."
