Swimwear company South Beach have teamed up with Made in Chelsea's Lucy Watson on a summer style edit, curating a collection of key pieces that incorporate the South Beach signature style with Lucy's favourite shapes and prints for the SS15 season.

Camilla Davies caught up with Lucy Watson to hear about fashion, guilty pleasures and all things Chelsea:

Define your personal style:

"Ooh, it’s hard. I guess it’s quite sporty, but I always try and have a feminine edge, and I get a lot of inspiration from the '70s and the '90s."

Are you excited about warmer weather and the summer style that comes with it?

"Yes I am, though I actually do prefer dressing in winter because it’s harder to look as stylish with less clothes I think."

You've also just launched a clothing collection for shelikes.com. What can we expect?

"It's a 24-piece collection, all clothes for the summer and styles based on festival wear. There’s a lot of boho '70s looks in there. It’s stuff that I like to wear but I've also tried to include a variety because I know that different people like different things, so I want to have something for everyone."

How is your Jewellery line, Creature, coming along?

"It's doing really well, we’re designing a new range at the moment for September. It's lots of work and a lot of time but hopefully we’ll get it done in time."

So what fashion pieces make all women look great – any shape or size?

"I think flares are really cool. I know they’re on trend right now and I think that's great because no matter what size or shape you are they flatter you. I quite like dungarees as well, they're perfect for any size really; you can do the boyfriend style or you can do the tight fit depending on your shape.

"And then I just think the '70s in general was a really flattering time. I always think that a cute little shirt dress, or a lacy dress can be jazzed up how you want. You can accessorise with a jacket, with CMYK boots, flats or whatever and it works for anyone really."

What five items of clothing make up your own capsule wardrobe?

"There's this really cute button up at the front skirt in my collection which would be really useful. I like the faux suede look at the moment and I have a cute waistcoat with tassles. Dungarees because I love them. Flares and a high necked strappy black '90s top that you can wear with anything."

What's your guilty pleasure?

"Loads. Cream cheese, pizza, milkshakes…mainly food!"

Handbags or shoes?

"Shoes. I've got so many. In my dream last night I was throwing shoes out and they just kept coming back! Looking around me now I have shoes everywhere."

If you had to pick a favourite pair?

"Well I love standard converse and I love trainers, but I’m also one for black boots. Either Chelsea boots or I have these Chanel calf-length boots. I like buckles too - I'm a boots girl."

Before you joined Made in Chelsea at 21, what career direction were you looking at?

"Before I did the show I wanted to do acting so if the show ends that's something I'd really like to do. I've always taken pride in what I wear and loved fashion so I've always wanted to do this and never thought it would be possible and I've had such a great response to what I wear but you never know if people are going to like it or not.

"I'm not really a people pleaser so I've tried to stick to my own style. It's a risk obviously because people might not like it but luckily for me they have so this seemed like the right way to go."

Would like to pursue modelling further?

"Again, I tried to do that before the show but I was too short because I’m 5ft 6ins it was a little tricky. I'm with Models 1 at the moment for their special bookings and it's really cool because it's opened up so many possibilities and I love being in front of the camera. It was a dream of mine before I joined the show so I'm super happy about it."

Will you be going to LA this summer with the Made in Chelsea cast?

"No one's been confirmed yet but hopefully!"
