Uxbridge intu shopping centre has planned a month of fashion events as spring and summer style arrives.

Events will include a clothing donation appeal, a wardrobe rescue event to show shoppers how to reinvent their old items, an up-cycle fashion challenge and a Mother's Day pampering event.

The event is not without celebrity names: celebrity stylist Karen Xavier will be judging events and providing wardrobe guidance to shoppers while Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock will judge the up-cycle fashion challenge, in which local bloggers will go head-to-head to create new outfits out of donated clothing.

Money raised in the clothing donation appeal (a target of £25,000) will fund a hospice nurse for one year.

Craig Higgins, intu's marketing manager, said: “The new season trends are arriving in our stores every day.

"Our fashion events will show shoppers how to make the most of their favourite pieces, as well as exclusive offers and discounts off updating their look with spring/summer treats."

Dates for intu Uxbridge's fashion events:

  • Mother's Day pampering event – Saturday March 14 to Sunday March 15

  • Wardrobe rescue event – Sunday March 21 to Sunday March 22

  • Up-cycle fashion challenge with Oliver Proudlock – Sunday March 29
