George Porter has returned to Championship title chasers Burnley following a review of his loan spell at AFC Wimbledon.
The 21-year-old was signed by the Dons last summer on a season-long loan, with a view to assessing his progress during January.
Dons boss Neal Ardley has decided, following a dip in the winger's form, it would be in both parties' interests if Porter went back to Turf Moor.
He said: “There was a review period in January, and George’s form had dipped a bit before Christmas. George was therefore left out of the squad when we decided to change our shape slightly.
"George was unhappy about not getting game-time, and Burnley were looking to see if things were happening the way they wanted them to. Both clubs therefore decided it would be best for George to go back to Burnley so that they can review his situation.”
