Police in Ealing are appealing for witnesses and information on what they describe as 'suspicious activity' around a van or minibus in Greenford .

Metropolitan Police say the behaviour of the occupants of the van in Lyon Way, Greenford - near Westway Cross Retail Park - on Tuesday (February 2) led to a member of public contacting police.

So far enquiries to trace the vehicle, which is described by police as a dark or grey Vauxhall Vivaro or similar, have been unsuccessful and was last seen on Lyon Way at around 11am.

Detective Constable Alex Summers, from Ealing CID, said: "If you are the owner of a Vauxhall Vivaro or similar type of van or minibus and were in Lyon Way at around 11am on Tuesday 2nd February please contact us .

"We would also be keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have seen this vehicle or anything they now think back on as suspicious, to contact us.

"We are keeping an open mind regarding this incident and so any information anyone gives could be of assistance."

Police say there have been no arrests and their enquiries continue.
