An Ealing man who was found with cannabis and crack cocaine after fleeing from police in his car has been jailed for more than four years.

Hasibullah Arghandabi, of Popes Lane, fled from police in his car on Hanger Lane after officers attempted to stop him at around 10.45pm on June 23.

Cannabis seized by police following the chase

Police chased after him and the 21-year-old eventually stopped in Beresford Avenue, Wembley , where he was arrested for failing to stop.

Officers found cannabis in his car as well as two rocks of crack cocaine on the route Arghandabi had taken, which police said belonged to him.

He was further arrested following the discovery.

Bundles of cash were found at the home of Arghandabi

Officers then searched a house in Wembley, where they found a "substantial" amount of drugs and more than £60,000 in cash.

Arghandabi appeared at Harrow Crown Court on November 30 where he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, MDMA and cannabis and was jailed for three years and nine months.

He also pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and received a consecutive jail sentence for four months, bringing his total sentence to four years and one month, and was disqualified from driving for two years.

More of the cash found by police

PC Hardeep Budwal, from Ealing's Problem Solving Team, said: "This is yet another good result for our team and the borough. It means we have taken a large amount of drugs off the streets as well as a major supplier."
