HOW healthy is your heart?

Find out at one of a series of free health check sessions, which have been organised as part of Love Your Heart month.

You can also find out how to prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia.

Any borough resident aged between 40 to 70, who is not already suffering with any of the conditions, can use the service.

Each 20 minute check will involve a medical professional assessing any lifestyle factors which could increase the risk of illness as well as blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar level tests.

Each person will receive personalised advice on how to lower their risk and maintain a healthy lifestyle and be offered additional tests, treatment and medication if required.

The checks are running at: Botwell Library from Monday February 3 to Friday February 7 between 11am-6pm; Charville Library on Friday February 7 from 7pm-5pm; South Ruislip Library on Friday February 14 from 10am-2pm; Manor Farm Library on Tuesday February 25 from 11am-4pm and Hayes Bus Garage on Wednesday February 19 from 10am-3.30pm.

Anyone who is interested but unable to attend the sessions should contact their GP or pharmacist for more information.
