CRIMINAL activities have been ‘seriously disrupted’ after two heroin and cocaine drug dealers were jailed.

Kristian Palnoni and Maher Al-Sharreif, both of Tillostson Road, Harrow, were sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Thursday.

Detective Constable Sayed Quraishi of Harrow’s Crime Squad said after sentencing: “Both Palnoni and Al-Sharreif are main players in the Wealdstone area, where others followed their lead.

“With these two both in prison, criminal activities have seriously been disrupted and will remain so for a while.

“This is a reassuring message for local residents and businesses in the area and sends out a strong message that police in Harrow will not tolerate any criminal activity.”

The court heard police officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at Masons Avenue, Wealdstone, in May.

Al-Sharreif, 21, was detained by police and Palnoni, 22, escaped through a window.

Despite an extensive search of the area by Harrow Police and the air support unit, Palnoni evaded arrest but days later handed himself in at Harrow Police Station.

A large quantity of class A drugs worth approximately £2,550 was found alongside drugs paraphernalia and cash inside the Wealdstone address, and along the escape route of Palnoni.

Both men were charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply on May 15 class A drugs including heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine hydrochloride.

Palnoni admitted the charges at the first opportunity but Al-Sharreif pleaded not guilty and was later found guilty by a jury after a five day trial at Harrow Crown Court last month.

Palnoni was given three and a half years’ imprisonment while Al-Sharreif was jailed for five years.

Judge John Anderson ordered for all of the cash found on Al-Sharreif at the time of his arrest to be forfeited.
