NewsgalleryStars of the World Cup Chelsea should take a look atBookmarkShareNewsByMatt Lewis10:11, 16 JUL 2014Updated09:47, 23 JAN 2015Paul Pogba - France. Spotted in west London recently, Pogba is a driving force in midfield. He left Manchester United for Juventus as a youngster but would set the Premier League on fire should Chelsea manage to tempt him back to England.1 of 20Daley Blind - Netherlands. The attacking full back is also capable of playing in midfield and starred for the Dutch this summer. Having learnt his trade at Ajax, the 24-year-old announced himself to the world in Brazil but could favour a move to Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United.2 of 20Jackson Martinez - Colombia. Impressive striker who has smashed 60 goals in 91 matches for Porto. Chelsea need another striker for next season and Martinez, who bagged two goals at the World Cup, would be an ideal fit.3 of 20Wesley Sneijder - Netherlands. Enjoyed possibly the best spell of his career under Mourinho at Inter. Enjoyed a great World Cup and showed he still has undoubted class. A quality set-piece taker.4 of 20Javier Mascherano - Argentina. Pushed Argentina to the final with a gutsy display in the semis. The Barcelona star (R) has experience of the Premier League but Chelsea fans would not be keen given his Liverpool connections.5 of 20Marcelo Diaz - Chile. The Basel midfielder is at the peak of his powers and boasts Champions League experience. Chile proved one of the surprise packages of the World Cup and the passing of Diaz was at the heart of their success.6 of 20Raphael Varane - France. Has found himself behind Sergio Ramos and Pepe in Carlo Ancelotti's pecking order at Real Madrid but is highly rated by Jose Mourinho. The Frenchman looked assured in Brazil and has vast potential.7 of 20Juan Cuadrado - Colombia. The 26-year-old winger's performances in helping Colombia reach the quarter-finals in Brazil have attracted attention from Barcelona and Manchester United. Currently contracted to Fiorentina and has most of Europe's elite fighting for his signature.8 of 20Mats Hummels - Germany. Possibly the best centre-back at the World Cup, Dortmund star Hummels is hot property this summer. Manchester United have long been linked with a move. At 25, he would be an ideal long-term replacement for John Terry.9 of 20Memphis Depay - Netherlands. It was an impressive World Cup debut for the PSV starlet. He scored two and laid on another for the Dutch to add to his reputation as one of the world’s rising stars. The 20-year-old has a big future ahead.10 of 20Sami Khedira - Germany. Missed the final due to an injury but was sensational en-route to the showdown with Argentina. Khedira worked with Jose Mourinho during the Special One’s time in Madrid but Arsenal are very close to completing a deal. (Image: Action Images / Jed Leicester)11 of 20James Rodriguez - Colombia. Only joined Monaco for €45 million last summer but was top scorer in Brazil in the summer. Real Madrid are leading the chase for his signature and Rodriguez is said to favour a move to the Spanish capital. Would command an enormous fee and this one is highly unlikely.12 of 20Ahmed Musa - Nigeria. Musa’s career has stalled somewhat since he left Holland to join CSKA Moscow, however the World Cup allowed him to put himself on the map again. The striker was magnificent for Nigeria against Argentina, scoring two goals, and he is still only 21.13 of 20Arturo Vidal - Chile. The Juventus midfielder looks to be on his way to Old Trafford, however Chelsea have snared United targets late in the day before. You only have to look to Arjen Robben for evidence of that.14 of 20Argentina's Marcos Rojo. celebrates an own goal scored by Bosnia-Herzegovina's Sead Kolasinac (not pictured) with his team mates (Image: Picture: Action Images / Jed Leicester)15 of 20Ricardo Rodriguez - Switzerland. Rodriguez was linked with a move to Chelsea as far back as two years ago and the club are in the market for a new left-back. A deal for Filipe Luis looks as good done though.16 of 20Joel Campbell - Costa Rica. Yet to be given his chance at Arsenal but helped his nation to top Group D in Brazil. He has Champions League experience from a loan spell at Olympiakos last term and looks ready for the Premier League.17 of 20Divock Origi - Belgium. A lot was expected of Romelu Lukaku in Belgium colours but it was Origi who stood out in Brazil. A move to Liverpool is expected to go through this week, so any interested clubs would have to move quickly.18 of 20Guillermo Ochoa - Mexico. Hilario’s contract was not renewed this summer and Petr Cech could yet leave this summer - should that happen then Jose Mourinho would need some goalkeeping backup. Ochoa was hugely impressive in Brazil and is a free agent.19 of 20Giancarlo Gonzalez - Costa Rica. Playing his football in the United States with Columbus Crew, Gonzalez showed he is more than capable of playing at a higher level with his performances in Brazil. However, he does have a failed spell in Europe on his CV.20 of 20
