A charity brought together community activists to contribute a discussion on how to make Harrow a better place to live, and now they want your ideas.

Voluntary Action Harrow (VAH) offered an open invitation to citizens of the borough for a brainstorm on Tuesday last week at Esquires Coffee Shop in St Georges Centre, Harrow.

VAH were joined by fellow local charities Harrow Lions Club, Harrow Carers and Harrow Community Radio to contribute to the discussion.

Alex Buckmire, marketing and research co-ordinator at VAH who organised the brainstorm, said: “It is VAH's goal to see a more unified Harrow. Getting people together for this brainstorm was one way we thought we could do this.

"Talking to people around the table I was amazed at just how many of them volunteered for not just one but three or four other community groups. I know from my experience in Harrow there is lots of great work being done by people in their spare time to help others and for a better community. Often it is hidden."

After the meeting, the team at VAH want your ideas on how to make Harrow better.
