YOUNG people of all abilities can get free football and basketball coaching in Brentford on Sundays during the remainder of the summer holidays.

WWT London Wetland Centre is offering free entry for kids for a day of wildlife-themed fun today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). Summer highlights include bug hunts, reptile walks bird watching and pond dipping and on entry you will receive your own Nature Explorer passport. The centre is in Barnes www.wwt.org.uk

A display featuring classic police cars will be one of the highlights of a Ealing 999 Community Fun Day. It's on Thursday August 21 at Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing. London Fire Brigade and Air Ambulance will be present, as will the police helicopter, horses and armed response team. The Safer Transport Team will be on hand to mark bicycles while the dog units, traffic police and crime prevention teams will also be present. There will also be information available to people interested in a career in policing. Refreshments and a barbecue will be available on site.

The event takes place at the sports club in Vallis Way, between 10am and 4pm. Entry is free.
