Free summer BMX sessions are being held at the recently opened Wormwood Scrubs track.Cycling charity Sustrans has teamed up with Hammersmith BMX Club and Access Sport to run free taster sessions on August 14 from 10am to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 2.30pm.

A line-up of musicians to perform an afternoon and two evenings of jazz at The Bull’s Head in Barnes throughout August. Everything from swing sessions to soulful rhythm and blues is on offer. Children can enjoy some theatrical puppet power at Harrow Arts Centre. From Monday, August 11, youngsters aged 7 to 11 can take part in a week where they will make their own superhero puppet and devise a play alongside other children. They will then get a chance to perform it for friends and family at the centre, in Uxbridge Road, Hatch End. Each daily session lasts from 10am to 4pm. Children can go wild in Walpole Park, Ealing on Tuesday at a free forest summer adventure day. Sessions are from 10am to 12pm for five to seven-year-olds and from 2 to 4pm for ages seven to 11.
