A working merry-go-round with real dancers will launch the latest season of free outdoor arts shows in Hounslow on Saturday (May 7).
Carousel by Southpaw Dance will whip up a tale of fairground life, set to a toe-tapping soundtrack of Balkan and Gypsy music, as performers take to the spinning stage in Bell Square at 8pm.
The show marks the start of the third year of entertainment at the open-air arts space just off Hounslow High Street, which opened in 2014.
Ballet, clowning and a pop-up ballroom are among the treats in store for audiences of all ages during the latest programme of events.
Councillor Steve Curran, leader of Hounslow Council, said: "There is literally something for everyone to go and see and be entertained in Bell Square this summer. You can get to see live entertainment for free and on your door step."
Bell Square hosts free performances every fortnight, with market stalls occupying the space on non-event days between Tuesday and Sunday.
Events at Bell Square last year included the chance to help build a cardboard tower and a Holi-inspired show in which the audience was invited to shower one another with dyed powder.
Upcoming shows include:
