Free health checks and nutritious food will be on offer at a three-day celebration of culture and diversity in Hounslow next week.

More than 1,500 people are expected to attend the event at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, off Hanworth Road, Hounslow, between Monday (September 14) and Wednesday (September 16).

The biennial celebration, organised by Disability Network Hounslow (DNH) in conjunction with the gurdwara, will include an exhibition about human rights, peace and child welfare.

There will also be speeches from dignitaries including the borough's MPs Ruth Cadbury and Seema Malhotra on the Wednesday, covering topics ranging from hate crime to housing.

Free vegetarian food and tours of the gurdwara will be available throughout the event, running from 8am-7pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 8am-3pm on the Wednesday.

There will also be free health checks on offer from Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare (HRCH) NHS Trust on the Tuesday, from 10am-4pm.
