Are you sick of the commute?

Does catching the train or tube every single day wear you down?

Does the thought of packing onto a crowded District line train during the summer months become unbearable?

Well don't worry anymore, because commuters can now experience a unique open air commute on the back of a tractor.

Yes, that's right - a commute on the back of a tractor.

It's all come around thanks to cider brand Orchard Pig, who have launched a new 'Traxi' service for the day to bring the Somerset lifestyle to SW3.

The iconic tractor, which is normally spotted in fields across Britain, will be joining the London traffic and offering transportation around the Chelsea area.

So busy London commuters can now get a slice of country life as they head home from a tough day in the big smoke for a more laidback approach to the Friday rush hour.

Orchard Pig has transported the bright blue tractor up to the big smoke and is running the 'Traxi' services as a trial on Friday (July 7).

Customers can tweet the driver to arrange a ride home within the local area and enjoy a cider in the sun on their way home.

Orchard Pig founder Andrew Quinlan said: "Our Traxi service is something a little bit different.

"After experiencing the London rush hour – I have a 3 minute commute at home - we knew this was an opportunity for Orchard Pig to help out and what better way to do this than offering a Traxi ride to make the journey home a little more enjoyable.

"In true Orchard Pig fashion, we don’t care about holding up the traffic – we just want everyone to kick back and relax while enjoying a cold, refreshing cider on a Friday."

Details

Passengers will be collected at the White Horse pub in Parsons Green.

A maximum of eight people will be transported in the trailer of the tractor while sitting on straw bales.

The activity will run on Friday (July 7) from 6pm-9pm inclusive.

Anyone can tweet @OrchardPig to ask for a ride home within the tractor’s route.

All passengers will be eligible to a complimentary Orchard Pig, Reveller cider.
