Santa and his elves drifted downstream to the canals of London, handing out presents to children from a floating sleigh.

Mrs Claus was also aboard the SantaTug, which toured Regents Canal through King's Cross and into central London.

The SantaTug, (as renamed from HotTug, for the festive period) is a floating hot tub, filled with fresh water, which is heated by an in-built wood burning stove.

"It was such a honour to have the Claus’s here, we are proud to announce we have renamed the HotTug “SantaTug” for the Christmas period and urge Londoners to book in to experience the Christmas magic from the water as spaces are booking up fast" said HotTug founder Tommo Thomson.

Santa Claus was rather pleased with the trade, explaining: "It was time for an upgrade and something that would be fun for Mrs Claus and my elves.

"This winter warmer was a much smoother ride than my old sleigh and after a long day handing out presents, a soak in the HotTug is just what I need!"
