The opening Rugby World Cup fixture sees England take on Fiji at Twickenham (8pm kick off).

But ahead of the first match on Friday September 18 will be the opening ceremony at Twickenham Stadium.

The theme of the opening ceremony is "breaking new ground", which organisers say will tell the story of rugby's birth and celebrate its journey to Rugby World Cup 2015 in England and Cardiff.

The opening ceremony will be on ITV, with the action beginning at6.45pm and finishing at 7.25pm.

Stay tuned on the same channel then as live coverage of the opening match begins, and John Inverdale will be joined in the studio by Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Sir Clive Woodward, with commentary from Nick Mullins.
