The famous Notting Hill Carnival is back for another year!

London's Afro-Caribbean communities have been celebrating their culture and traditions with the two-day festival in Notting Hill since 1964. Around 500 people came then and now around one million people attend the carnival annually, with the event getting bigger and better every year.

Live music from all over the world, steel bands and floats will be entertaining the crowds as they munch on jerk chicken and sip a fresh coconut.

This year, the carnival will take place over the August bank holiday weekend; Saturday August 29 to Monday August 31. The main carnival parade and events will take place on the final two days.

And to get you excited and in the mood for celebrating, we have lots of brilliant photos from last year's event!
